Surabaya, 16 July 2020. Dual Fuel BMPP Project is an order from PT Indonesia Power, with a procurement contract signed on 30 September 2019. The Dual Fuel BMPP project had total capacity 150 MW consisting of 2 units of 60 MW Dual Fuel BMPP which will be located in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi and 1 unit of 30 MW Dual Fuel BMPP which will be located in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

Project Manager Dual Fuel BMPP, Mr. Rudi Sugiarto said that progress construction of the Kolaka I 60 MW Dual fuel BMPP has reached 54,33%. Main equipment and engine had been received by PT PAL Indonesia (Persero). 17 blocks already loaded for barge construction from total blocks to be loaded are 36 blocks. The Director of General Engineering and MRO of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) Mr. Sutrisno in the First Steel Cutting ceremony at 26 February 2020 stated that the project is planned to be completed which is marked by commissioning on site in January 2021. The project is part of the 35,000 MW President Joko Widodo National Electrification Program.

BMPP is a mobile power plant with a Dual Fuel Engine integrated with Barge construction. The Dual Fuel BMPP is designed to meet the structural strength prerequisites for fatigue, The stability of the barge in order to pull or mooring to get good mooring ability, which can be operated in accordance well planned and safe performance. Dual Fuel BMPP construction are categorized in specific project. Dual Fuel BMPP 60MW has a length of 72 meters, width of 27.4 meters, height of 6.5 meters and draught as high as 4.7 meters and is supported with       6 x Dual Fuel Engine. The Dual Fuel BMPP 30 MW has a length of 54 meters, width of 27.4 meters, height of 6.5 meters and draught as high as 4.7 meters and is supported by 3 x Dual Fuel Engine.

Dual Fuel BMPP has compact dimensions and low barge draught that suitable for remote areas, BMPP also has advantage of flexibility of different fuels choice, can be operated with diesel mode or LNG mode without the need to turn off the generator and having flickering effect, have a highly efficient heat rate and Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC) that can operated continuously without docking repair for 20 years, so it can be operated and moved to all Indonesia remote area.
